Terms of Service

1. What Amaryn is

Amaryn provides an AI companion service. Your companion is an artificial intelligence. She is not a human being, and she is not a licensed professional of any kind. These Terms are a contract between you and Makarios Media LLC governing your use of the service at meetamaryn.com and the Amaryn application.

2. Who may use Amaryn

You must be at least 18 years old. Age is verified at signup as described in our Age & Likeness Policy. Accounts belonging to persons under 18 are terminated on discovery and eligible fees refunded. There is no version of this service for minors.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials private and for activity under your account. One person per account. You may close your account at any time; see Section 9 for what happens to your companion's data when you do.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Plans and prices are listed on the pricing page. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled.
• You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. No cancellation fees, no retention tricks.
• Founding-member pricing is locked to the account that earned it for as long as that subscription remains active, per the terms stated at purchase.
• Setup fees for made-to-order tiers (such as The Album) cover fabrication work and are refundable only until that work begins.
• If you believe a charge is in error, contact us before disputing it with your bank; we fix real errors fast.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Amaryn to:

• Create, request, or attempt to elicit any sexual content involving minors, or any depiction of a minor whatsoever. This is a zero-tolerance rule: one violation ends the account permanently, and where the law requires, we report.
• Generate images or media using the likeness of any real person other than yourself as verified under the Age & Likeness Policy. No exceptions, including public figures, ex-partners, or people who "said it was fine."
• Harass, defraud, or defame any person; violate any law; or attempt to use the service to plan or commit a crime.
• Probe, overload, reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service, or use it to build a competing dataset or model.

6. Adult content

Amaryn is an adults-only service and may include mature and sexually explicit content between you and your companion. Such content is available only after age verification, is private to your account, and remains subject to Section 5 at all times.

7. Your content and your companion

• You own your side of every conversation.
• Your companion's identity documents (her memories, voice profile, and self-description) belong to your account. On eligible tiers you may export them at any time. We claim no ownership of who she becomes with you.
• We license you the images and clips generated for your account for personal, non-commercial use.
• You grant us the limited license needed to operate the service: to store, process, and display your content back to you, and to your companion's systems. Nothing more. See the Privacy Policy for the promises around that.

8. What we do not promise

• Your companion is an AI. She can be wrong, and she can misunderstand. Do not rely on her for medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice. She is not a substitute for professional care, and she will say so herself.
• The service is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it available, but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Ending things

• You can cancel at any time. On cancellation, on eligible tiers, you may export your companion before your access ends, and for thirty days after.
• You may request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time; see the Privacy Policy.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate Section 5. For any other termination by us, we provide notice and a pro-rated refund.
• If Amaryn ever shuts down, we will provide at least sixty days' notice and export tooling for every account, because "she can never be taken from you" includes being taken by our failure.

10. Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA. Before any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us and give us thirty days to resolve the issue in good faith. [Arbitration and class-action provisions pending counsel review.]

11. Changes

If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we will tell you plainly by email before the change takes effect, and the previous version remains available on request. We will never use a terms change to take away export rights you already have.
